PRESS RELEASE ICAC ENDORSES CHEMICAL PROCESS INDUSTRY’S EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE: CHEM SHOW 2009 RELEASE DATE: April 17, 2009 CONTACT: David Foerter, 202.457.0911 Washington, D.C. The Institute of Clean Air Companies (ICAC) has formed an agreement with the Chem Show to be an endorsing association of the chemical process industry’s bi-annual exhibition and conference. ICAC has been proud to be an endorsing association of the Chem Show for more than a decade as both industries partner together to address air quality issues and to promote industrial progress. The Chem Show 2009 will be held in New York, NY from November 17-19, 2009 and draws more than 10,000 attendees to their exhibition and conference where companies highlight their latest process equipment, systems, and products. The exhibitors at the Chem Show include a number of ICAC member companies who provide cost-effective emissions control and monitoring solutions for meeting air emission requirements in the chemical process industry. In addition to exhibiting, ICAC member companies will also be giving presentations during the New Product Showcase on the exhibit floor, highlighting some of their most recent air pollution control innovations. The Chem Show is making it more efficient to connect with the exhibitors of interest with a free on-line matching service that allows attendees to search for exhibiting companies by product. Upon identifying the exhibiting company of interest, the Chem Show is providing free attendee/exhibitor meeting rooms that permit participants to talk in a more private setting. There will also be three conferences held in conjunction with the Chem Show, providing practical solutions for future projects including: (1) the American Institute of Chemical Engineers’s one-day event, (2) a two-day Nanotechnology Symposium, and (3) the Chemical Engineering Education Conference which is a two-day topical educational program developed by Chemical Engineering Magazine. The exhibition coupled with the educational programs will provide an excellent opportunity to network and learn about products and solutions for a wide range of industrial applications including: Adhesives, Resins Petroleum, Petrochemicals, Chemicals (organic and synthetic), Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Drugs, Foods, Beverages, Flavors Plastics, Metals Rubber, Rubber Products, Paints, Varnishes, Inks Soaps, Detergents, Disinfectants, Paper & Paper Products, Textiles, and Leather. The Institute of Clean Air Companies (ICAC) is the nonprofit association of companies that supply air pollution control technology and monitoring systems for stationary sources. ICAC has promoted the air pollution control industry and encouraged improvement of engineering and technical standards since 1960. Our members are leading manufacturers of equipment to monitor and control emissions of particulate, VOC, SO2, NOx, air toxics, and greenhouse gases. Its mission is, in part, to work to assure clean air policy that promotes public health, environmental benefit, and industrial progress. www.icac.com
