ICAC Technical Conferences ICAC features its member companies’ technologies in its technical conferences and workshops. The conferences typically involve two days of technical presentations providing members the opportunity to discuss recent experience and developments in control and measurement. Exhibit areas are also provided at the conference to allow members to interact with potential clients, regulators and others in the vendor community. ICAC provides a discount on attendance and exhibit booths for its members at these conferences. ICAC Air Regulatory Agenda This document sets out the status and timetable for future action of all key pending regulations and policies of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Clean Air Act. This document lists all EPA regulations that are being considered, proposed or finalized. For each regulation there is an abstract of the subject matter, CFR citation, legal deadline, the current timetable for future action, and the EPA contact (name and e-mail) who is responsible for the matter. It is updated twice a year as a service for members of the Institute of Clean Air Companies. Conference Cosponsorship ICAC endorses a number of conferences each year providing additional exposure to member companies as well as some opportunities for member companies to speak or chair sessions at the conferences. Sometimes discounts are given to ICAC members that attend such conferences. Some of the recent conferences cosponsored by ICAC include: ISA’s NOx Emissions & Source Monitoring Technical Conference and Training, Electric Utilities Environmental Conference, Chem Show, CIBO Environmental Issues for Energy Generation in the Non-Utility Sector Conference, etc. Annual Meeting The ICAC annual meeting provides an opportunity for all of the members to provide input into the planning process for the upcoming fiscal year. The ICAC technical divisions meet at the annual meeting to discuss specific projects and future goals. ICAC is given the opportunity to discuss the accomplishments of the previous year and invites guest speakers that talk to members about relevant industry topics. The next annual meeting will be held from April 21-24, 2010 at the South Seas Island Resort in Fort Meyers, Florida. Current Event Briefing Series ICAC arranges guest speakers to address member companies via conference calls regarding current industry topics. These briefings provide an opportunity for members to hear presentations that are tailored to the air pollution control industry and to ask specific questions of experts. Some of the recent briefings that have been hosted by ICAC include discussions of recent regulatory requirements such as the CAIR rulemaking, CAMR rulemaking, Industrial Boiler MACT, Multipollutant Legislative Overview (Clear Skies), etc. Networking Opportunities ICAC provides numerous opportunities for members to network with other members at any of the various division meetings, technical conferences, and annual meetings. Through these meetings, business relationships are developed amongst members through both ICAC social and meeting functions. |
