ICAC has developed a memorandum, which contains a summary of the implementation status of The Effluent Limitation Guidelines (ELG) for the Steam Electric Power Generating Point Source Category. The Steam Electric ELG was finalized in 2015 under the Obama Administration but implementation of key parts of the rule, as described more fully in the memorandum, have been delayed by the Trump Administration.

The memorandum includes information on:
  1. Standards Applicable to Specific Waste Streams
  2. Timing for Compliance
  3. Litigation History
  4. The EPA Process for Postponement of Compliance Dates
  5. Current Compliance Timelines

ICAC staff will continue to monitor and develop intelligence on the Steam Electric ELG for ICAC members. For questions regarding the memorandum, please contact Michael Goo (mgoo@ajw-inc.com).
